Sprint has taken legal action to prevent Dish from closing a deal with Clearwire. Sprint announced last December that it had worked out a deal to purchase the rest of Clearwire for about $2.97 per share, which would value the company at $2.2 billion. Dish then countered with an unsolicited bid of $3.30 per share, or $5.15 billion, as part of its plan to acquire spectrum and expand its offerings.
